The KRCS is invested in our Students and recent Graduates!

  • Russ Babb Memorial Scholarship

    Due March 1 (for Kansas Respiratory Care Students)

    The scholarship amount for 2026 has not yet been finalized but will range from $250 to $1,000. The final amount will depend on the total number of applicants and the number of scholarships awarded.

    The KRCS offers a scholarship to be awarded annually to a worthy student currently enrolled in an accredited respiratory care education program in Kansas.

  • Jeff Scobee Leadership Development Award

    Due June 1 (for recent RT graduates, and current students)

    The award will be given annually to a student or recent graduate who desires to attend the AARC House of Delegates meeting and observe how the professional association conducts business on the state and national level.

    2025 Winter Meeting

    December 4th & 5th, 2025 in Phoenix, AZ

    • Currently enrolled in a CoARC accredited respiratory care program or

    • A post graduate within 24 months and employed within the respiratory care profession

    • Be a student or active member of the AARC and KRCS

  • Debbie Fox Legislative Award

    Due June 1 (for Respiratory Therapists who are working and would like to get more involved in legislative issues.)

    Formally known as Advocacy Week or PACT Week, the Annual Respiratory Care Fly-In September 15-16, 2025, is a time for respiratory therapists to come together in Washington, D.C. to fight for their patients and profession. Up to $1000 is given to a respiratory therapists who desires to attend the AARC Capitol Hill Advocacy Day in Washington DC and become an active member of the Political Advocacy Contact Team (PACT) on the state and national levels. The award recipient will agree to participate in the AARC/KRCS legislative and advocacy activities.
