The KRCS is invested in our Students and recent Graduates!

    Russ Babb Memorial Scholarship

    Application deadline: March 1, 2027

    Eligibility: Kansas Respiratory Care Student currently enrolled.

    Kansas respiratory students: apply for the RBMS by March 1 to get financial support for your education.

    The scholarship amount for 2027 has not yet been finalized; however, the scholarship is typically between $250 and $1,000. The final award amount will depend on the total number of applicants and the number of scholarships awarded.

    The KRCS offers this scholarship annually to a deserving student currently enrolled in an accredited respiratory care education program in Kansas.

    RBMS APPLICATION

    Jeff Scobee Leadership Development Award

    Application Deadline June 1, 2027

    Eligibility: Recent respiratory therapy graduates and current students.

    The award will be given annually to a student or recent graduate who desires to attend the AARC House of Delegates meeting and observe how the professional association conducts business on the state and national level.

    2027 Winter Meeting

    November 4–5, 2027

    Seattle, Washington

    • Currently enrolled in a CoARC accredited respiratory care program or

    • A post graduate within 24 months and employed within the respiratory care profession

    • Be a student or active member of the AARC and KRCS

    Apply for this award to gain firsthand insight into how the AARC House of Delegates guides and influences the profession.
    JSLD APPLICATION

    Debbie Fox Legislative Award

    Application deadline: April 16, 2027

    Eligibility: Kansas respiratory therapists seeking to participate in and support KRCS advocacy efforts.

    Event timing AARC Fly-In: late spring 2027 (around June), the annual Washington, D.C. advocacy event.

    Amount: Up to $2,000 for travel and meals.

    The award is to be used to attend AARC Capitol Hill Advocacy Day and PACT activities at state and national levels.

    Recipient requirements

    • Attend AARC Capitol Hill Advocacy Day and the Fly-In.

    • Join and participate in AARC and KRCS advocacy, including PACT at state and national levels.
