What You Will Do

As an Associate with Via Christi Health, you will have the opportunity to provide evaluation of and care for
patients with respiratory insufficiencies.

Responsibilities:

  • Assesses patient for appropriate type and frequency of treatment and develops a plan of care based on diagnosis.
  • Implements and monitors patient care plan and equipment. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition. Performs advanced respiratory care modalities.
  • Evaluates respiratory practice, administration of medications, and treatment based on patient outcome.
  • Educates the patient and family about the health condition and provides information about community support groups and other available programs.
  • Responds to emergency resuscitation team code.

RRT or CRT Full Time, 12-Hour Shifts, ON-CALL, PLUS WEEKENDS
72 hours per pay period

Clay County Medical Center (CCMC) is a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital in North Central Kansas offering 24/7 emergency care, OB, surgery, med surg, and swing-bed along with all of the diagnostic and therapy departments including Pulmonary Rehab.  Our hospital is served by nine family practice physicians, several mid-levels and a variety of specialty physicians.  We will soon be moving into our all new patient rooms, OB and Surgery areas while we move into phase two of the remodel for the rest of the facility.  Clay Center is centrally located in the state giving easy access to many locations: 35 minutes to Manhattan, 60 minutes to Salina, 90 minutes to Topeka, 2 hours to Wichita, and 3 hours to KC.
We have great hunting, fishing and schools.

CCMC is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist. 

Prefer a RRT but would consider a CRT with hospital experience.  We are seeking experienced, motivated, team-oriented candidates. Applicants must demonstrate and promote high standards of quality and care for the treatment of patients. Treat patients, physicians, and coworkers with compassion, dignity and respect. Highly motivated individual with excellent communication and computer skills.  Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Program.  Current RRT or CRT licensure through the National Board of Respiratory Care and licensed in the state of Kansas with the State Board of Healing Arts.  New graduates are encouraged to apply. Cloud County Health Center (CCHC) is a 25 bed Critical Access
Hospital located in Concordia Kansas.

We offer 24/7 emergency care, med surg, swing-bed, outpatient services and surgery.
CCHC is affiliated with Salina Regional Health Center (SRHC) and utilizes all benefits and human resources of SRHC. We have a full Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehab department along with Physical therapy.

Full-time Respiratory Therapist needed for day shift. 7a-7p shifts with
rotating call and weekend/holiday shifts. A RRT is preferred but would consider a CRT with experience.


Applicants must demonstrate and promote high standards of quality and care for the treatment of patients.
Self-motivated and team-oriented candidates will work with a team of doctors and nurses to care for our patients.
The Cardiopulmonary department is also responsible for all Cardiac/pulmonary rehab patients, PFT testing,
Stress testing, EEGs, heart monitors and EKGs along with ER/med surg patients.

Applicant must be a graduate of an accredited Respiratory Program. Current RRT or CRT licensure through
the NBRC and licensed in the state of Kansas with the State Board of Healing Arts.

RT’s travel throughout the hospital helping our co-workers assess and treat patients.
They are emergent responders for trauma, code blue, rapid response and MTP.
We also work to educate our patients for better health after discharge.

Position Summary:

·         This position is responsible for independently performing respiratory care procedures which requires the ability to interpret physician orders, assess patient needs, deliver prescribed therapy and evaluate patient response. This includes invasive procedures that may be performed with minimal supervision and minor assistance in patient care units and critical care areas. Therapists will serve in a consulting role by communicating suggestions to other members of the clinical team regarding the respiratory care delivered to patients in all areas of the hospital. The position requires the ability to respond promptly to changes in workload and make adjustments in assignments as needed to achieve optimal productivity, efficacy and quality patient care.

Qualifications and Skills

Minimum Education
Associate degree in Respiratory Care from an accredited program

1 year Respiratory Care experience preferred

·         Required Registration/License/Certification
Current Kansas license or eligible for Kansas license
Registered Respiratory Therapist credential from the NBRC
